The Island Planning Corporation (IPC) was founded by Nathan Browning in 2004. IPC provides masterplanning, landscape design, and installation for urban projects, hotels, resorts and private residences.
Working internationally in locations ranging from dense urban environments to the Swiss Alps and remote tropical islands, IPC has developed design, sourcing and installation capabilities to meet diverse and extreme situations.
IPC shares ongoing collaborations with resort groups including Aman Resorts, Cheval Blanc (LVMH), GHM, and numerous private clients throughout the world. Our large-scale planning projects include four kilometers of urban streetscape and an animal reserve in Gabon, a marina on the Adriadic Sea, a 3,000 hectare landscape masterplan in Mexico and the landscape masterplan for the Miami Design District.
We design and deliver mature, established landscapes by hand-selecting plant materials and specimen trees and providing the technical direction for preparation, transport and installation.
IPC’s team represents a variety of multi-disciplinary backgrounds, from landscape and environmental design, ethnobotany and agroforestry, to architecture and environmental engineering.
IPC has worked on projects in 28 countries across North and Central America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
