As part of an ongoing relationship with LVMH-owned Rimowa, Nathan Browning and IPC teamed up on a limited-edition capsule collection of suitcases. A celebration of travel and exploration, the collaboration was feted at an exclusive event on November 30, 2016.
Held at the Rimowa flagship in the Design District, during Design Miami and Art Basel Miami Beach, the night attracted the likes of DJ Stretch Armstrong and Sam Keller, the former director of Art Basel Miami Beach who now helms Fondation Beyeler, the prestigious Swiss museum.
A marriage of travel and design, luxury and sustainability, the capsule collection features elegant botanical etchings, on the hard cases of two suitcase styles, which refer to Nathan’s African travels to Gabon, Sao Tome and Kenya over the past decade.
These explorations have not only yielded a vast array of botanical species for IPC’s design projects but also offered Nathan a unique insight into the sustainable future of luxury.
Although originally intended to be available for a limited period of time, Rimowa, which now routinely works with leading designers and tastemakers from around the world, has extended the program to be available made-to-order.
